Joe’s first entrepreneurial venture began as a high school student attending Johnston High. Inspired to find a job for spending money, Joe found his first position in the basement office of a telemarketing firm. The job was generating sales leads for a home improvement company. He quickly realized that becoming organized alleviated the high-stakes, high-pressure atmosphere shared amongst co-workers and built a small database to track his clients. He began generating more leads. Joe noticed that after clients were passed on to the sales team he was unable to control the result of the sale. This caused him to develop a greater focus on the entirety of the sales and marketing process. From this moment on Joe applied his big picture focus to his work.
